TBCS 2nd Chinese Writing Competition

Tampa Bay Chinese School will hold the Second Chinese Writing Competition this semester. We would like to invite all students at our school and in Tampa Bay area to participate in this event. It is a great opportunity for our kids to practice and polish their Chinese writing skills, show their talent and hard work, and share their life stories in Chinese.

Topic

The topic of the writing competition is “My Dream”.

Eligibility

Open to any student at TBCS or in surrounding communities. There is no age limit. No fee required.

Criteria

Division: There will be six categories in accordance with TBCS grade or age group (for non-TBCS students).

  • A：EDP A/B & Grade 1 - Grade 2 or age 8 and below
  • B：Grade 3 - Grade 4 or age9 to 10
  • C：Grade 5 -Grade 6 or age 12 to 13
  • D：Grade 7 - Grade 8 or age 13 to 14
  • E：Grade 9 - Grade 10 or age 15 to 16
  • F：Grade 11 - Grade 12 or age 16 and above

Length:

  • Group A: No length limit (picture illustrated work acceptable)
  • Group B, C：No less than 100 words
  • Group D：No less than 200 words

Style:

Handwritten and single-sided. Three choices of paper size are available: 8×10, 10×20, and 20×20. Please pick any of the three as needed. The manuscript paper samples are downloadable via the link as follows.
