Congratulations to TBCS Grade 7 Student Freya Wang (left on the picture) and her family! Freya goes to Farnell Middle School and recently she and her partner Matthew McGovern won the 1st place of Florida State History Fair, for the documentary project “Ping Pong Diplomacy”, a historical event that significantly impact the relationship between U.S. and China. They are the first 7th graders at the Hillsborough County winning at the Florida State.

They will go for the National History Day Competition in Mid June in University of Maryland, near Washington D.C. Their stories also appeared on May 25th, 2011 edition of TBO community news, titled "Farnell students’ documentary wins them a spot at National History Day”.
